You’ll learn how to create your own jewellery design from wax, transforming your ideas into a beautiful, one-of-a-kind piece. No experience is needed, just bring your favourite people and your creativity.

A Glimpse into your Workshop

6:00pm – Welcome

We’ll welcome you with a glass of fizz or a soft drink, alongside Ewa’s signature macarons and brownies.

Once everyone has arrived, we’ll introduce ourselves and take you on an interactive journey into the world of wax jewellery making. We’ll explain the wax we use, introduce you to the traditional jeweller’s tools you’ll be working with, and demonstrate the techniques used to carve your design ready for the ancient art of lost wax casting.

6:15pm – Design & Inspiration

We’ll chat through your ideas, explore different ring styles and help you bring your vision to life. You’ll have plenty of time to plan your design before picking up your tools and beginning to carve.

6:30pm – 8:15pm – Wax Carving

Now the fun begins

Using traditional jeweller’s tools, you’ll carve your very own ring from jeweller’s wax. We’ll be on hand throughout the workshop to guide and support you, helping you refine your design, experiment with different techniques and add those personal details that make your ring uniquely yours.

8:15pm – Sharing Your Experience

Once the carving is complete, we’ll take some time to admire what you’ve created. It’s always lovely to hear the stories and inspiration behind each piece, and we’ll be happy to answer any questions you have about the casting process.

8.30pm Close

Once you’re completely happy with your design, we’ll carefully prepare your wax model ready for casting.

Your ring will then be professionally cast in 925 sterling silver using the ancient lost wax casting process. We’ll then clean, polish and beautifully finish your ring in our Rottingdean workshop.

Your finished ring will be ready to collect approximately 2–3 weeks later, a little piece of jewellery, made by you, to treasure for years to come.
