Spend a relaxed evening in our Rottingdean studio and discover the ancient art of wax carving. We run our workshops on the first Thursday of every month.

Whether you're making a ring for yourself, creating a meaningful gift, or simply looking for a unique creative experience, we'll guide you through every step of the process.

No previous jewellery-making experience is needed, just bring your imagination.

What to Expect

6:00pm – Welcome

Arrive at our Rottingdean Studio to a warm welcome with a glass of prosecco or a soft drink and light nibbles while we introduce the evening and take you on a journey to explain about the wax we use for jewellery making, show you the tools you’ll be using and explain all about the techniques we use to carve pieces ready for the ancient art of lost wax casting.

6:15pm – Design & Inspiration

We'll chat through your ideas, explore different ring styles and help you plan your design before you begin carving.

6:30pm – 8:15pm – Wax Carving

Using traditional jeweller's tools, you'll carve your ring from jeweller's wax. We'll be on hand throughout to guide and support you, helping you refine your design and add personal details.

8:15pm – Sharing Your Experience

It’s always lovely to hear about what you have made and we love answering your questions too.

8.30pm Close

Once you're happy with your design, we'll prepare your wax model for casting.

Your ring will then be professionally cast in 925 sterling silver using the lost wax casting process, and we will clean, polish and beautifully finish it our Rottingdean workshop.

Your finished ring will be ready to collect approximately 2–3 weeks later.
